Soliciting Continues In Nutley Despite Coronavirus-Inspired Ban
Nutley Police Department: Due to COVID-19, no door-to-door soliciting is permitted until further notice.
NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police say “suspicious” visits continue to be reported despite the township’s coronavirus-inspired ban on door-to-door soliciting.
The Nutley Police Department released the following information about a pair of incidents that took place on Feb. 10:
“Headquarters received two separate complaints regarding suspicious parties going door-to-door soliciting. All parties were advised that a permit is necessary for any door-to-door sales, and that due to COVID-19, no soliciting is permitted in the township until further notice. All past permits have expired, and no new permits will be issued.”
“All persons were issued township ordinances [for] permit required,” police said.
