The Belleville hospital's president said the timing "couldn't be better."

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville recently got a much-welcomed donation of six, new life-support ventilators to help it battle the coronavirus.
The donation comes from Fosun Foundation, the philanthropy entity of Fosun International, together with its Fosun Hive portfolio company, Everest Healthcare Properties.

“The ventilators, manufactured by Breas are slim, lightweight and are highly intuitive with large full-color screens and distinct buttons that are easy to read, and have simplified menu options and alarm-setting features. The ventilators are durable, and they have options for nurse call cable, remote start/stop and a click-on internal battery combination that offers 12-hour autonomy.”
Mary Ellen Clyne, president and CEO of Clara Mass, said the donation’s timing “couldn’t be better,” as the hospital is beginning to experience what could be a resurgence of COVID-19.
