Woman Woke up to Find Burglar in her Kitchen, Belleville Cops Say
Man reportedly claimed to be looking for a neighboring house.

A Heckel Street resident woke up in the early morning to find a burglar in her kitchen, police say.
On Thursday at 2:45 a.m., the resident awoke to find a heavy-set black man wearing blue shirt and blue jeans standing in her kitchen/living room. The man reportedly said he was looking for another address on the street when the woman asked him what he was doing in her home.
The man reportedly showed the woman his wallet when asked for identification. Police say he dropped the wallet, containing his driver’s license, during a struggle with the woman. He reportedly ran outside and drove off in a white pick up truck.
