1 Time Alex Trebek Mentioned Bedminster On 'Jeopardy!'

Alex Trebek is battling pancreatic cancer. Here is one clue the iconic host read that will hold a special place in Bedminster's hearts.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Alex Trebek announced Wednesday that he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Trebek has hosted Jeopardy! since 1984, reciting countless clues for trivia buffs.

In that time, Trebek recited one clue that will hold a special place in the hearts of Bedminster:

  • GOLFER IN CHIEF $1600: The 45th president enjoys time at Trump National in Bedminster in this state, where he watched the 2017 U.S. Women's Open

Most people connected to Bedminster will instantly know the answer — or question — to this clue. But just in case, we put the answers at the bottom of this article.

Trebek, 78, said on a video announcement that he plans to beat cancer and continue hosting.

"With the love and support of my family and friends, and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease," Trebek said.

The iconic host ended the video on a lighter note. Trebek said he has to beat cancer because his contract runs for three more years.
