3 People Critically Injured In Bedminster Wrong-Way Crash: Police
The vehicle was speeding, heading north on the southbound side of Rattlesnake Bridge Road when it hit a concrete bridge abutment Saturday.
BEDMINSTER, NJ — Three people were critically injured in a wrong-way crash near Route 78 Saturday, said Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertston.
Robertson said that a 2002 Toyota Corolla with three 18-year-olds inside crashed on Rattlesnake Bridge Road about a half mile north of Route 78 at 3:47 p.m. Saturday, Robertson said.
Emergency responders extricated the three occupants, who were taken to area hospitals in critical condition, Robertson said.

The Bedminster Township Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) investigated the crash. The investigation showed that the vehicle was speeding, heading north on the south side of the road when it hit a concrete bridge abutment, Robertson said. Authorities are trying to determine why the vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the road.
