BEDMINSTER, NJ — Bedminster Police Sgt. AlTerek Patterson was a true family man. He always put his life on the line for others especially for his wife Brandi, 8-year-old daughter and 2-1/2-year-old twins.

Patterson would work extra hours to provide for his family and buy his college sweetheart her dream home. He made his dad the best man in his wedding and called his mom every single day.

"That's the type of man he was and some of the reasons why he will be missed by many," according to a GoFundMe set up by Patterson's close friend Corrado DeVincenzo and PBA Local 366 to help support the family.
