Bedminster Business Owners Have Spent 50 Years Helping Schools
The Donovan family have a 50-year history of providing financial help to students and teachers at Catholic schools.

BEDMINISTER, NJ — The owners of a Bedminster country club are being honored for their decades-long commitment to help teachers and students.
The Donovan family owns Fiddler's Elbow Country Club. They will receive the Making A Difference Award from the Tri-County Scholarship Fund annual awards dinner Oct. 28.
For 50 years Ray and Cathy Donovan have provided financial assistance to teachers to St. Ann's in Newark, St. Joseph the Carpenter School in Roselle, Seton Hall Prep, and Oak Knoll School in Summit, among others. Ray Donovan served as U.S. Secretary of Labor under President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1985.

The Donovans' children and grandchildren also support education through the Tri-County Scholarship Fund. Ken Donovan and his wife, Kris serve on the fund's Board of Trustees.
The Tri-County Scholarship Fund has provided $28 million to financially disadvantaged children in Morris, Passaic, and Sussex counties. Recipients have used the money to help them attend private and parochial schools.
