American flags with inscriptions will be available to purchase to benefit food banks in Somerset County

Bedminster, NJ - Bedminster Township is celebrating Fourth of July in a unique way.

The public will be able to walk through the field during a community picnic, hosted by the Bedminster Charities organization, and will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.

“This a great opportunity for members of our community to honor loved ones, show your patriotism and support a worthwhile local charity,” commented Project Chair Robin Ray, who also serves as President of The Friends of the Jacobus Vanderveer House Board of Trustees. “A field of 200, seven-foot-tall American flags standing in solemn formation will be an awe-inspiring site.”
Flags on display are available for adoption for $40 each, and can be identified with the buyer’s personal message.
