Bernards Everyday Hero Goes Out Of Her Way To Help Others
Melanie Gimenez is 'positive, upbeat, encouraging, and brightens the spirits' of those around her.

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Positive, upbeat, encouraging, and brightening the spirits of others.
That is the way people at Bernards High School describe Melanie Gimenez, the school's Everyday Hero recipient for December.
Gimenez has been "noticed as someone who consistently goes out of her way to include peers in activities," the person who nominated Gimenez for the award said of her. She is a peer leader at the school.

"Her work as a peer leader provides her with a natural platform to help others, but that does not stop her from being friendly and compassionate in any setting," the nominator said. "We lucky to have students like Melanie Gimenez as members of our school and her kindness and compassion towards others is to be commended."
Gimenez will receive a generous gift certificate from Nicoletta Pizzeria, who sponsors the Everyday Hero program.
