Bernardsville's Quimby Lane Qualifies For Redevelopment: Study

Dozens of properties along and near Quimby Lane qualify to be included in the area that could be redevleoped.

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Quimby Lane is in need of redevelopment, according to a study commissioned by the Borough Council.

The study was published by Philip Abramson, a certified planner by the state of New Jersey.

The study was commissioned for the Planning Board to determine if the area could be designated as being "in need of redevelopment" under state law.

The study breaks down each block and lot in the area and gives the reasons why each one should be considered for redevelopment. The area includes several parcels surrounding the Quimby Lane right-of-way that qualify for redevelopment.

The area contains a large part of the historic and downtown core of the borough. It comprises three sections and has various businesses, homes, and medical offices.
