Camp Bedminster Registration Proceeding as Planned

Despite previous concerns that plans for construction at the , committeeman Lawrence Jacobs reported that all is right.

Because of construction in the gym and other work being done in the main corridor of the Bedminster Township School this summer, there had been concerns that certain areas would not be accessible for Camp Bedminster as they have been every year.

The school is currently planning for redoing the gym, plus re-carpeting some of the classrooms.

Concerns had arisen from the township recreation department that they may have to cancel Camp Bedminster because of this and the costs of moving to another location.

But Jacobs reported that everything has been worked out between the township’s recreation department and the school district.

“Camp Bedminster will get four weeks out of the seven requested where they will get use of the gym,” he said. “The other three weeks, the gym was only a secondary resource anyway in the event of rain.”

Jacobs said the school has made other accommodations for the camp in case of rain.

“We are at peace with the recreation department and school administration,” he said. “Registration for Camp Bedminster is proceeding.”
