Gun, Hollow-Point Bullets Found In Car: Bedminster Police

The driver did not signal when changing lanes and police stopped the car; that's when they found the gun and bullets, authorities said.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A Pennsylvania woman was arrested on weapons and drug charges after police found a gun and hollow-point bullets in her car during a recent traffic stop, police said.

Crystal Harper, 41, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of hollow-point bullets, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia on July 27, Bedminster police said.

Police saw a gray Toyota on Route 202/206 fail to maintain its lane near River Road and not signal when it went crossed several lanes, police said.

After an investigation, Harper was arrested and charged, police said. She was also issued motor vehicle summonses, including for operation of a motor vehicle while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
