Here's How Somerset Hills Students Scored On The SAT
Patch has a list of each NJ high school's most recent average scores that were released. See where Somerset Hills students ranked.
BERNARDSVILLE/BEDMINSTER, NJ — Somerset Hills ranked in the top 30 in the state for the highest average SAT scores, according to the most recent data released by the state.
Somerset Hills Regional School District averaged a combined score of 1225 on the SATs, which was ranked at the 28th highest in the state and 6th in Somerset County for its combined score. Montgomery Township ranked at 6th highest in the state and top in the county with a combined score of 1311 on the SATs.
On the math portion, students in Somerset Hills averaged 620 (26th in the state), and in reading/writing, the average score was 605 (36th in the state). Perfect would be a combined 1600, or 800 in each section.

The SAT scores were part of the state Department of Education's School Performance Reports for the 2017-18 school year. The reports include figures on enrollment, proficiency scores, PARCC scores, graduation rates and SAT scores.

The SAT is still considered the primary standardized test that judges a student's college qualifications. So Patch compiled the combined SAT scores as well as the lists of scores in the two sections identified as "math" and "reading and writing." These reports are designed to inform parents, educators and communities about how well a school is performing and preparing its students for college and careers, according to the DOE.
