Horseback Riding Classes Offered Near Bedminster

The Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable is hosting registration for spring horseback riding classes

Basking Ridge, NJ -- It's time to get back on the horse. Literally.

The Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable is hosting registration for spring horseback riding classes and other seasonal programs at the Stable located at 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking RidgeJ.

Lessons will be offered to juniors (ages 9-17) and adults, and will accommodate first-time beginners through more advanced levels with jumping experience.

All classes are one hour in length.

The ten-week spring session begins on Monday, March 28.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, class registrations will be accepted in the Stable office until 3:30 p.m. Current students may register for spring classes online at www.somersetcountyparks.org. First time students, as well as those who prefer to pay by cash or check, are also required to register in person.

The current 10-week program rate for Somerset County residents is $375 and $525 for non-residents. The 5-week one-hour flat class rates are $187.50 for Somerset County residents and $262.50 for out of county residents.

Students who reside outside of Somerset County may purchase an annual Non-County I.D. Card for $170. This card entitles each individual cardholder to a discounted rate on riding lessons.
