How Much Snow Will Bernardsville, Bedminster Get?

A winter storm watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Somerset County through late Saturday night.

BERNARDSVILLE/BEDMINSTER, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Bernardsville and Bedminster in anticipation of the upcoming snow.

The watch will be in effect through late Saturday night.

Heavy snow is possible. Four to 6 inches could fall from Saturday night through very early Sunday morning, according to the NWS.

Locals should plan on difficult travel conditions as significant reductions in visibility are possible. There is the potential for a short period of heavy snow Saturday night, which could lead to a rapid deterioration in road conditions, the NWS reported.

The snow could be wet enough, especially near Interstate 95, to potentially result in power outages.

Here is a look at the upcoming forecast:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. Northwest wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Saturday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 39. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday night: Snow, mainly before 4 a.m. Low around 28. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 46. West wind around 7 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30.

Monday: A chance of showers after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Monday Night: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
