Man Charged After Bedminster Woman Died Of Overdose: Prosecutor
Authorities suspect she had bought drugs from a New Brunswick man before dying, January 20, according to the Somerset Prosecutor's Office.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Months after a 37-year-old woman from Bedminster died of an overdose, a New Brunswick man was accused of causing her death, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
An autopsy determined that the woman died from combined adverse effects of cocaine, fentanyl, and sertraline. At approximately 6:01 a.m., first responders were called to the house where she was, on Lamington Road.
They first thought she was suffering from a heart attack and took her to an area hospital, where she died at 5:37 p.m. on the same day.

Authorities believe that before her death, the woman had agreed to meet up with Lashawn D. Boyd, 25, from Harvey Street, to buy drugs. The investigation determined that they were at the same place briefly on January 19.
Boyd was indicted this week for first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death, and four counts of third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
