
The primary elections will be held Tuesday for residents registered as Republicans and Democrats to vote for their choices to run in the November elections.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Since none of the positions in the individual parties are contested, those who have registered to run in Bernardsville and Bedminster will be part of the November elections.

There will be no local race in this year’s primary in both Bernardsville and Bedminster.
In Bernardsville, Republican incumbents Janet Waite and Chris Schmidt have filed to run. .

In Bedminster, incumbent Republican council members Bernard Pane and Staci Santucci have filed. They will be challenged by Democrats Basil Scaperdas and Laura Riley.
The only contested elections in Somerset County, which include for freeholder and senate, is actually the governor’s race.
Running for the Republican nomination are Gov. Chris Christie and Seth Grossman.
Running for the Democratic nomination are Barbara Buono and Troy Webster.
Christie and Webster are supported by the Somerset County Republican and Democratic organizations, respectively.

- District 1—Municipal Building, on Miller Lane
- Districts 2, 3—Lamington Presbyterian Church, on Lamington Road
- Districts 4, 5, 6—Pluckemin Presbyterian Church, on Route 206 South
- Districts 7, 8, 9—Hills Village North Recreation Center, on Artillery Park Road
Bernardsville
- Districts 1, 2—Bernardsville Library, on Anderson Hill Road
- Districts 3, 7—Bernards High School Gymnasium, on Olcott Avenue
- Districts 4, 5—First Presbyterian Church, on Mine Brook Road
- District 6—St. John’s on the Mountain, on Mt. Harmony Road
