Preview Kindergarten at The Willow School - Childcare Provided!
Discover a program that uses play, curiosity, and individualized instruction to help little learners fall in love with school.

The Willow School invites parents who are exploring their kindergarten options to preview kindergarten at Willow on January 16 at 1:30pm. Learn how to get your child ready for kindergarten and experience all that Willow has to offer!
The event includes a brief tour and overview of the independent school’s preschool to Grade 8 program, followed by a presentation led by Willow’s Montessori-trained kindergarten teacher, Julie Kim. Ms. Kim will help parents discover how how play-based learning engages young students, developing their love of learning, self-motivation, independent thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills, and much more. Katie Ackerman, Willow’s librarian and reading specialist, will discuss early literacy techniques, sharing insights into reading and writing at Willow as well as how to develop those critical skills at home.
Children of all ages are welcome to attend, and free childcare for children over the age of two and a half will be provided. Willow’s preschool teachers will lead the children in fun activities during the presentation. Younger children are welcome to stay with parents.
