BEDMINSTER – A plane reportedly flew into restricted airspace near Donald Trump's golf resort on Saturday where the president was spending the weekend.

The plane was carrying a couple to a hiking destination in New Jersey and was forced to land in eastern Pennsylvania after touching down for fuel within the presidential no-fly zone, according to lehighvalleylive.com.

The report said the plane was escorted by an F-16 and US Coast Guard helicopter to Braden Airpark in Northampton County, Pa. The incident happened before 1 p.m., the report said, when the yellow aircraft landed to fuel up within a temporary flight restriction zone.

The plane was heading toward Herr Mountain Airport in Lebanon when it was ordered to land while being followed by fighter jets, according to The Asbury Park Press.

Cameron Hillier, a spokesperson for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), confirmed to The Asbury Park Press that a plane did fly through the no-flight zone. An F-15 fighter jet and MH-6 helicopter were able to establish radio contact with the plane and then advise it to land at a nearby airport.
