Self-Published Authors to Read at Bernardsville Library
Liisten to self-published authors read their fiction and non-fiction work ranging from mystery to science fiction, memoir & children's book.

We have a lot of very creative people in our midst! Come to Bernardsville Public Library on Saturday, April 29 at 2:00 pm to listen to five self-published authors read from their fiction and non-fiction work. The books range from mystery, to science fiction, memoir to a children's book. The authors will also tell us what inspired them, about their writing process and the path to publication. Their books will be available for purchase and signing.
All the authors have a New Jersey connection. Rena Trefman Cobrinik, a resident of Boonton, has written a book about her mother and about growing up in the Bronx during the Great Depression and World War II. It's titled "A Different Mother." Darla Desiderio is the author of “Gage the Flying Whippet," the first in the “Gage Series” of books for children ages seven to ten. Ms. Desiderio grew up in Bernardsville and is now a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina. Keith Hirshland's "Big Flies" is a mystery that uses four real-life, still unsolved, robberies as connective tissue to tell the story of a father and a son. He is a resident of Peapack. "2094" is a journey into space and fantasy by Burton Leed, a resident of Bernardsville. "Benched: A TBI Survivor's Insight into a TBI Recovery" describes Ashley Welch's battle with a traumatic brain injury and shares her perspective on what this means and how to cope. Ms. Welch lives in Far Hills.
