The Somerset County Sheriff's Office is unveiling a new memorial honoring fallen officers from Somerset County. Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano invites family members of these law enforcement officers to contact his office prior to the event.

The Somerset County Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Plaza, next to the Somerset County Administration Building at 20 Grove St., on Friday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m. to honor officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The event will include a flag presentation by the Sheriff's Honor Guard, music by the Somerset County Police Pipes & Drums, a New Jersey State Police flyover, and guest speakers. The public is welcome.

"This is a meaningful tribute for our fallen officers who gave their lives while serving the citizens of Somerset County," said Sheriff Provenzano. "We invite you to join us as we honor their memory and service to our communities."
