BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Monday morning commuters can expect trouble as the Morris & Essex-Gladstone Branch rail service will continue to be suspended in both directions on Monday for repairs, NJ Transit announced Sunday.
A downed tree caused significant damage to four NJ Transit poles and one JCP&L utility pole impacting overhead wires early Thursday morning following last week’s snow and ice storm.
Repairs are currently being made to more than 1,500 feet of the NJ Transit rail power system including catenary, feeder, signal and static wiring as well as associated hardware, NJ Transit announced.
