Update: Bernardsville Library Operates Virtually
What's going on at Bernardsville Library during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the signing of Executive Order 107 by Governor Murphy, Bernardsville Public Library has been closed since March 16 until further notice. Now, in the interest of conserving funds, the Library Board of Trustees has voted to reduce staff hours as of Friday, May 1 which will result in the reduction of library services to the Bernardsville community.
As a result, daytime telephone service will be ended, though emails to librarian@bernardsvillelibrary.org will be answered as soon as possible to help library users with questions they may have about using the library's online resources. Online programming will also be curtailed. Telephone messages left on the library’s main phone line will also be answered, but the response time could be longer than email requests.
The Library’s online services are still available 24/7, and Bernardsville residents can get a virtual library card, if they don’t have a card already, by emailing librarian@bernardsvillelibrary.org. Residents are encouraged to check the library’s website, www.bernardsvillelibrary.org, and Facebook page for updates on virtual programs, screencasts, and information about materials for children, teens, and adults. From the library website, library cardholders can access Flipster, Hoopla, rbDigital, and Tumblebooks for downloadable books, movies and magazines. Residents who are sheltering in place can take advantage of Lynda.com to learn a new skill. Lynda.com has more than 8,000 courses and 255,000 video tutorials. All these services are free with a Bernardsville Library card.
