Youth Art Month Exhibition: Photographs by Ashwin Barama
Photographs by Ashwin Barama, a 12-year old student of The Willow School .

Photographs by Ashwin Barama, a 12-year old student of The Willow School in Gladstone, New Jersey, will be on display at Bernardsville Public Library during the month of March, Youth Art Month. The opening reception will be held on Sunday, March 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
An avid photographer and bird watcher, Ashwin, who lives in Bernardsville, can often be spotted outdoors with his camera looking for interesting things to photograph. Birds, the focus of his photographs, have been the deciding factor in his choice of vacations to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, other states in the U.S. and India. From an early age, everything about nature excited him, from the tiny grubs to the largest sharks. His passion for protecting the environment earned him an invitation to be the youngest speaker at the Green Faith Conference held at the UN Church in New York City in 2014. His topic at the conference was saving the apex predator of the ocean: sharks!
Another kind of bird that deeply interests Ashwin is the man-made one: airplanes. His knowledge is so deep that he spotted the Russian spy plane that flew over Bedminster, NJ. His mother, who dismissed that conclusion, learnt that he was right after reading in the newspaper that it was indeed a spy plane. His dream is to earn an amateur pilot license before he turns 18. He also wishes to fly his own plane someday.
