14-Year-Old Charged With Murder In Fatal Brick Stabbing: Official
Mohammed Khater, 38, died of a stab wound to the abdomen in the incident on Saturday, authorities said.

BRICK, NJ — A 14-year-old has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 38-year-old Brick Township man, authorities said Sunday.
Mohammed Khater, 38, died Saturday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he was taken following the incident, Ocean County County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio said.
Brick Township police were called to a home about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday and found Khater with a stab wound to the right side of his abdomen, authorities said. The home was on Herbertsville Road, the Asbury Park Press reported.

The juvenile — authorities did not identify whether the child was a boy or a girl, or any identifying information — was arrested and charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose; and unlawful possession of a weapon. The juvenile is being held at the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center, the prosecutor's office said.
"Due to the fact that the individual charged with these offenses is a juvenile, N.J.S.A. 2A:4A-60 prohibits the release of any additional information," the prosecutor's office said.
