350 Heroin Folds, Crack Cocaine Seized In Brick Bust

Two men were arrested following an investigation by Brick Police Street Crimes Unit, authorities said.

BRICK, NJ — Two people were arrested last week and 350 doses of heroin seized during an investigation by the Brick Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, police said Monday.

George Murray Sr., 53, of Brick, and Christoph J. Polperio, 41, of Toms River, were arrested Thursday by detectives investigating a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Brick Motor Inn on Route 70, Sgt. Jim Kelly said.

A search of the vehicle turned up 350 wax folds of heroin, about 4 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, he said.

Murray was charged with possession of heroin and crack, possession of heroin and crack with the intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia, failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance to police, and obstruction of justice, Kelly said. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Polperio was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia, and received traffic summonses as well, Kelly said. He was released pending a future court date.
