4 Injured In Herbertsville Road Crash in Brick
Brick police said a Freehold man suffered head and internal injuries; all four people were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

BRICK, NJ — Four people were injured Sunday, three seriously, in a crash when one vehicle turned into the path of another on Herbertsville Road, Brick police said.
Lisa DeFeo-Ester, 38, of Somerset; Kasandra Diaz-Torres, 22, of Howell, and her passengers, Michael Roman, 25, of Jackson, and Milton Perez, 23, of Freehold, all were injured in the crash that happened about 7:50 p.m. in front of St. Paul's Church, Brick Sgt. Keith Donnelly said.
All four were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, for treatment.

Perez suffered internal injuries and a head injury, Donnelly said, and the other three suffered injuries to extremities.
Donnelly said the investigation showed DeFeo-Ester, who was driving a red 2017 Buick Envision, pulled out of the parking lot of the church into the path of the black 2018 Toyota Camry driven by Diaz-Torres, who was headed south on Herbertsville Road and had the right-of-way.

Brick Police EMS, Point Boro First Aid Squad, and paramedics from Hackensack Meridian Hospital took the patients to the hospital.
Herbertsville Road was closed and traffic was detoured for about two hours during the investigation.
Patrolman David Thergesen is investigating. Anyone who may have witnessed or has information related to the crash is asked to call Thergesen at 732-451-2037.
