Brick Girls Soccer Team Seeking Group 3 Final Berth
The Dragons won the Central Jersey Group 3 title and are seeking their first trip to the Group 3 title game since 1996 Tuesday night.

BRICK, NJ — Sectional champions. It has a nice ring, but the Brick Township girls soccer team is hoping for more.
The Green Dragons, who won the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 3 title on Saturday in a shootout against Hopewell Valley, will take the field Tuesday night in the Group 3 semifinals.
It's the first trip to the Group 3 semis since 1996. Brick won the Group 3 title that year. But the Dragons haven't been back to that pinnacle until now.

Brick (17-4-2) takes on Moorestown, the South Jersey Group 3 champion, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Toms River High School North. There will be admission charged but the admission prices were not published.
The Dragons reached the Group 3 semifinal by beating Westampton Tech 7-0 in the opening round, 6-1 over Jackson Liberty in the quarterfinals and 1-0 over Colts Neck in the semifinals. Danielle Christ has four goals in the NJSIAA playoffs, including the late winner against Colts Neck. She has 11 goals on the season. Reese Beggs, who has 18 goals, has had two in the state playoffs, and the Dragons also have had Abby Kennelly (10 goals, 2 in the tournament), Erika Cameron, Emma Carpino, Jean Anderson, Kaitlyn Horvath and Jada Lopez all have contributed.

Goalkeeper Molly Tully has been a steady presence in net, with 127 saves and 7 shutouts and a 1.09 goals against average.
Moorestown (19-4) has 12 shutouts and has given up 20 goals, including just one in the playoffs.
