Brick Hosting Free Rabies Clinic For 2020 Licenses

If your pet needs its rabies shot updated, this is your opportunity. Dogs and cats must be licensed in Brick. Learn the requirements.

BRICK, NJ — If you have a dog or cat that needs an updated rabies shot before renewing its license for 2020, Brick Township will be holding a free rabies shot clinic.

The clinic is set for 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 26 at the Drum Point Sports Complex, 41 Drum Point Road.

Pet owners are asked to have their dogs and/or cats on a short leash and accompanied by an adult. The clinic is open to Ocean County residents.

For Brick Township residents needing to license pets, there will be no licensing at the clinic.

Licenses may be obtained either by mail or at the municipal building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Exact change, check or credit (no American Express). If requesting by mail, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

All dogs and cats, 7 months or older, must be licensed in Brick. Proof of a rabies vaccination that is current through November 2020 must be presented. For pet owners seeking a three-year license, the rabies vaccination must be good through November 2022.

If your dog and/or cat has been spayed or neutered, you must present a statement from the veterinarian.

LICENSE FEES:

  • One year, spayed/neutered animal: $10
  • One-year, non-spayed/neutered animal: $13
  • Three-year, spayed/neutered animal: $26
  • Three-year, non-spayed/neutered animal: $35

There is an administrative charge of $1 per month for any dog or cat registered after Jan. 31 of each year.
