Brick Offices Closed New Year's; Christmas Tree Collections Set
If you're removing your Christmas decorations this weekend, there are options for getting rid of your fresh tree.

BRICK, NJ — If you're planning to spend your weekend taking down your Christmas decorations, the Brick Township public works department will be collecting them curbside.
Public works collections will not happen Friday as all Brick Township municipal offices are closed for New Year's Day. Trash and recycling collections will resume Saturday.
Curbside collection of trees is set to begin Jan. 11. Crews will collect trees following recycling routes, beginning with Monday's routes, officials said.

Brick residents also can take their trees to Ocean County's Forge Pond Golf Course, on Chambers Bridge Road, now through Jan. 31. The county recycles the trees into mulch.
Trees also can be taken to the Northern Ocean County Recycling Center on New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood at any time during regular business hours.
