Brick Police Investigating Shots Fired In Sawmill Area
There have been no injuries reported, police said; a weapon was found.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are investigating a shooting incident that happened Monday afternoon in the northern part of the township, police said Monday evening.
A caller reported hearing several shots fired about 1 p.m. in the area of Creek Road and Sawmill Road, Sgt. Jim Kelly said.
A weapon was recovered but there were no reports of injuries, Kelly said.

Several people who were "persons of interest" were being interviewed by detectives and the investigation is continuing, he said.
"We do not believe there is a further threat to public safety at this time," Kelly said.
