Brick Schools Offer Virtual Special Education Transition Fair

The fair offers information for families of special education students who are preparing to transition to life after high school.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township families who have special education students are invited to a transition fair on Monday that aims to show them options for the students' lives beyond high school.

The fair, titled "A Whole New World," will be held virtually from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, the district said.

The transition fair includes information on a number of transition-related topics to assist students and their families. Students age out of the school-based education programs at 21 years old.

"We have been in contact with various agencies from the categories below, who offered to kindly share the information with us digitally," Brick Schools officials said.

Questions will be answered on any of the transition topics, which include:

In the webinar, Transition Specialists Tiffany Aguayo and Darla Novick will provide families and
professionals with all the necessary information and resources needed to navigate the ever
changing adult services world, Brick schools officials said.
