BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Board of Education approved several promotions of principals and assistant principals for the 2021-22 school year on Thursday.

The promotions were a domino effect that resulted from the departure of Sean Cranston, who has been the district's director of human resources since January 2017. Cranston's resignation takes effect Aug. 2.

Most of the administrative positions were filled by current district employees, Superintendent Thomas Farrell said. The district saved more than $50,000 by promoting in-house, he said.
