Brick Sets Hearing On '21 Community Development Block Grant Plan
The township is seeking public comment on its plans for funding that helps programs for needy in the community.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township officials will be taking public comment on the township’s Community Development Block Grant program plan for the coming year.
The Community Development Block Grant program is operated by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and the funding gives communities a way to address needs including housing for low- and moderate-income people.
The public hearing on Brick’s plan is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.

Towns that receive the funding also are able to pass through a percentage of the funding to nonprofit organizations that provide services to those in need.
Those funds have been the source of annual contributions by the township to a number of groups, including the Arc of Ocean County, Community Services Meals on Wheels, Dottie’s House and several other organizations.
