Brick Woman Accused Of Falsifying Carteret Tax Records
Toni Johnson, 38, is accused of illegally waiving and removing fees while she worked in the tax collector's office, authorities said.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — A Brick Township woman is accused of tampering with records in Carteret while she was working as an employee in the tax collector's office, authorities said.
Toni Johnson, 38, was arrested Monday and charged with third-degree tampering with public records, fourth-degree falsifying public records and one count of second-degree computer theft, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
Johnson was charged following an investigation by Middlesex County Detective Paul Kelley that determined Johnson illegally waived and removed fees from the department’s computer system, Ciccone said.

"This office must decline to comment beyond its initial release," Assistant Prosecutor Conner J.E. Ouellette said in response a request for additional information.
