Brick Woman, Lakewood Man Charged After Drug Probe: Police
The Brick Street Crimes Unit was investigating drug activity near the McDonald's on Van Zile Road, police said.

BRICK, NJ — Two people have been charged with drug offenses in connection with an investigation by the Brick Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit.
Melissa A. Esper, 27, of Brick, and Rashad Anderson, 34, of Lakewood, both have been charged following an investigation into drug activity in the area of the McDonald's at 191 Van Zile Road, Brick Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli said.
Esper was arrested about 5:40 p.m. Friday, and charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of paraphernalia and obstruction. She additionally was issued multiple motor vehicle citations. Esper was released on a summons.

Police initially issued an arrest warrant for Anderson, but he later turned himself in. Anderson was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, distribution of crack cocaine, obstruction and endangering the welfare of a child, and he also was issued multiple traffic citations. Anderson is being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River.
