Cedarwood Park Drug Probe Leads To 3 Arrests: Brick Police

Three people face heroin charges following an investigation by the Street Crimes Unit.

BRICK, NJ — Three people are facing heroin charges following a drug investigation in the Cedarwood Park section of Brick, police said Monday.

Dion Holmes, 27, of Lakewood, Nayelie Ibarra, 21, and Margaret Bozzetti, 33, both of Brick, were charged following a pair of motor vehicle stops on Jan. 20 by detectives with the police department's Street Crimes Unit, Sgt. Jim Kelly said.

The detectives were investigating following reports of drug activity at a Cypress Avenue home, he said.

Holmes was charged with distribution of heroin, and possession of marijuana, Promethazine, heroin, and paraphernalia, and taken to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing, Kelly said.

Ibarra was charged with possession of heroin, marijuana and paraphernalia, as well as being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, and Bozzetti was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia, and both were released with summonses, he said.

Kelly said, "Brick Police Chief James Riccio would like to thank our residents and stated, that this is another example of how positive interaction and collaboration between our citizens and the department can bring these investigations to a successful conclusion."
