Coronavirus Updates: Spread Slows In Brick; Vaccine Information
The council is scheduled to introduce an ordinance to make Salmon Street a through street; see updates on Brick's coronavirus numbers.

BRICK, NJ — The snow that fell Sunday will make it slow going Monday morning in Brick, as freezing temperatures were making roads icy throughout the township.
The storm wasn’t nearly as extensive as the nor’easter that lingered for three days last week, but it may have created a sense of Groundhog Day with the effects prompting the Brick Township School District to start the week with remote instruction.
While the schools may be disrupted on Monday, the township said its garbage and recycling collections will take place as usual.

The effects of the nor’easter and the plowing of the snow it dropped likely will be a source of public comment at Tuesday’s Township Council meeting, following complaints last week.
The council also is scheduled to introduce an ordinance to make Salmon Street, just off Chambers Bridge Road, a through street. The meeting will be held via Zoom; instructions to join it are included in the agenda for the meeting, set for 7 p.m.

In addition, the township Planning Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday. That meeting will be held via Zoom as well.
The township’s meetings continue to be held remotely because of the limits on indoor gatherings in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Board of Education is set to meet Feb. 18.
