BRICK, NJ — Brick Township officials were urging residents to avoid the area of Jack Martin Boulevard between Route 70 and Burrsville Road Sunday following a motor vehicle crash that took down a utility pole.

The crash happened before 5 p.m. Sunday, but the traffic disruption lingered late into the night as crews from Jersey Central Power & Light replaced the utility pole.

Additional details on the incident were not available late Sunday; authorities continued to urge motorists to avoid the area.
