New Jersey received a near failing grade in small business friendliness, according to a survey by Thumbtack.Â
New Jersey received a D and was one of the lowest ranked states in the country. California, Rhode Island and Illinois received failing grades, while Connecticut also received a D grade.Â
The survey looked at several issues, including:Â
- Business-friendly licensing regulations
- Ease of filing taxes
- Tax rates
- Government-sponsored training programs
