Emergency Storm Drain Work Set For Herbertsville Road In Brick
The emergency work on Herbertsville Road is anticipated to take five to six weeks, officials said.
BRICK, NJ — Motorists in the Herbertsville section of Brick will be faced with some traffic disruptions beginning Wednesday as the Ocean County Road Department is scheduled to begin an emergency storm drain replacement project.
The drain replacement is covering the stretch from the Herbertsville Fire Company and Brick Township Fire Training Center at 500 Herbertsville Road and the work is expected to last five to six weeks, Brick police said in warning of the work.
The work will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If the weather cooperates, the work may be finished sooner, the announcement said.

"This work is necessary," the announcement said. "Please expect delays and plan an alternate route."
Commuters looking to get to the Garden State Parkway or Route 195 can use Burnt Tavern Road as an alternative during the construction.
Motorists are reminded to have patience, plan ahead and follow the directions of the signs, workers or police officers.
