Funeral Services Set For Farmingdale Mayor Jay Morgan
Morgan had been mayor of the borough for 12 years, according to his obituary.

Funeral services have been set for Farmingdale Mayor John P. "Jay" Morgan, who died Sunday after a battle with cancer, according to the funeral home website. He was 53.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Wednesday and Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 1.
Morgan worked as a trouble shooter for PSE&G's Central Division in East Brunswick for 33 years until his retirement this year. He had been mayor of Farmingdale since 2004 and had originally joined the Borough Council in 1992.

Morgan was a life member and exempt member of the Farmingdale Fire Department, a member of the Farmingdale/Howell Lions Club and the Manasquan River Sewage Authority, as well as serving as treasurer and vice president of Evergreen Cemetery. He also was a member of the Republican Club. In his free time, Jay enjoyed playing golf, according to his obituary.
Morgan was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Farmingdale, according to his obituary.

Morgan was predeceased by his mother, Eileen M. Morgan, and a brother, Robert “Abe” Morgan Jr. Jay is survived by his children, Amanda Facciponte and her fiancé, Brian Muller of Jackson, and Joseph Rodriquez of Howell; a grandson, Brendan Muller; his father, Robert Morgan Sr. of Farmingdale; siblings, Mike Morgan and his wife, Rose of Howell, Cindy Jennings of Howell, and Karen Morgan of Howell, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
Following Friday's funeral service at the funeral home, interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Jay’s name may be made to the Farmingdale/Howell Lions Club, 2 Fox Hill Drive, Howell, New Jersey 07731.
