Local Love Stories: 8th Grade Soulmates

In honor of Valentine’s Day, we want to share your love stories. It all started at Lake Rivera Middle School for Brianne and her future husband.

We asked Patch readers on Facebook to tell us their local love stories — how they met, where it all went down, and what’s kept them together. Here’s the story of two middle schoolers on the bus who had no idea what was in store for them.

My husband and I met on the school bus in eighth grade at Lake Rivera Middle School at the age of 13. We lived 8 house away from each other. We started dating our freshman year on February 22, 2002 at Brick Township High School.

He is my best friend and soulmate. We have been happily married since April 30, 2010. We grew up together—the worst of the worst and the best of the best—we have been through it all. I feel lucky and blessed to have met my soulmate at such a young age.

Fifteen years together and excited to spend many many more.
