BRICK, NJ — The Mantoloking Bridge has been reopened to traffic Friday afternoon after an issue forced it to be closed in both directions, according to an alert from the Ocean County sheriff's office.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation was called in to make repairs. The sheriff's department did not give details on the problem, which forced bridge traffic to be shut down for more than an hour.

Patch is seeking information from the state Department of Transportation and will update as it becomes available.
