Motorists Urged To Avoid Herbertsville Road In Brick
Ongoing emergency storm drain work is creating the traffic disruption, Brick police said.
BRICK, NJ — Motorists are urged to avoid Herbertsville Road between Lanes Mill Road and Maple Avenue on Monday due to the ongoing storm drain replacement work.
Brick police said that section of Herbertsville Road is expected to be closed for at least the remainder of Monday while the work is going on.
Ocean County Road Department began the emergency storm drain replacement project in mid-February and said the project was expected to last five to six weeks.

The drain replacement is covering the stretch from the Herbertsville Fire Company and Brick Township Fire Training Center at 500 Herbertsville Road will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If the weather cooperates, the work may be finished sooner, officials said.
Commuters looking to get to the Garden State Parkway or Route 195 can use Burnt Tavern Road as an alternative during the construction.
