New Brick Police Officer Sworn In
Morgan Murphy was sworn in as a new officer in the police department, filling a vacancy from the retirement of Sgt. Dan Waleski.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department has a new officer, after Morgan Murphy was sworn in Thursday.
Murphy joined the department after working as a certified police officer in the Camden County Police Department, officials said. He is participating in the field training program.
Murphy's hiring comes after the department bid farewell to Sgt. Dan Waleski earlier this month. Waleski retired June 1 after 25 years of service.

Officer Keith Prendeville, who had been part of the K-9 unit until his K-9 Max was retired earlier this year, was promoted to sergeant on June 2.
In addition the hiring of Murphy, the police department is hiring police dispatchers. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Applications and information are on the township's website here.
