NJ Weather: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For More Storms

Enjoy those cooler temperatures, New Jersey, because looks like we're not yet done with the bad weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the entire state, saying that showers and thunderstorms may produce enough heavy rain resulting later Tuesday and overnight.

Potent storms will swing slowly eastward, according to AccWeather. The only question is how much it will impact New Jersey; the worst of it is expected to hit Pennsylvania and New York.

Some of the storms may become strong enough to bring an elevated risk of damaging winds and flash flooding, according to AccuWeather. A few of the strongest storms may produce a tornado.
During Tuesday night, the storms may weaken while crossing the Susquehanna and Delaware valleys, according to AccuWeather. However, torrential downpours and the risk of flash flooding are likely to extend eastward across Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York state and western New England.

- Tuesday afternoon: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 79. Southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 11pm and 3am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 71. Southeast wind around 8 mph becoming south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 86. West wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
- Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph.
- Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.
