Robber Hits 7-Eleven Clerk On Head, Grabs Cash: Brick Police

The clerk suffered a cut on the head; police are seeking tips on the suspect's identity.

BRICK, NJ — A convenience store clerk was injured early Wednesday after a man hit the clerk on the head during a robbery early Wednesday at the 7-Eleven on Chambers Bridge Road, Brick police said.

The robbery happened about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim suffered a cut on his head after the robber hit him with an unspecified solid object, Brick Sgt. Jim Kelly said. The robber grabbed the cash and a box of cigarettes and ran out of the store, and was last seen going north on Chambers Bridge Road, Kelly said.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a red, white and blue jacket, black track pants with white stripes running down the outer seams, and red, white and blue sneakers. The jacket’s hood had fur trim around the edge, Kelly said.
