Services Set For Kimberly Broyles, Brick Bus Driver

The Jersey Shore native and longtime school bus driver was 51.

Services are set for today, Thursday, Aug. 20, for Kimberly A. Pugh Broyles, a longtime bus driver for the Brick Township School District.

She died Monday at home, surrounded by her husband and children, after a short battle with cancer, according to her obituary on the Colonial Funeral Home website. She was 51.

Mrs. Broyles was born in Point Pleasant and had lived in Brick for many years while working as a school bus driver there.

“Kimberly was a selfless, devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She will be missed dearly by all of her family, friends, and community,” her obituary notes.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, William Pugh and Mary E. Pugh; her mother Mary A. Pugh, and her aunt; Mary Anzaldua. Surviving are her husband James E. Broyles Sr. and children James Jr. and Sarah; her brother, William J. Pugh Jr., and her father, William J. Pugh Sr.

Visitation today, Thursday, Aug. 20, will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Route 88, Brick, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736, in Kimberly’s memory, according to the obituary.
