SummerFest Concerts, Movies, Car Show Return To Brick For 2021
With gathering restrictions lifted as the COVID-19 pandemic eases, the township announced the official return of the summer event series.

BRICK, NJ — Music and fireworks will light up Windward Beach Park again this July, another sign of the return to normal as SummerFest returns in Brick.
The SummerFest concert series, which was canceled last summer because of the coronavirus pandemic, will include food and family-friendly events.
"We are thrilled that SummerFest will be returning to Windward Beach Park this July. It is one more step in the journey back to normal," Mayor John Ducey said. "While we were disappointed that last year’s series was canceled, we all know it was the right thing in light of the crisis we were in. Now, we are ready to make up for lost time and have the best SummerFest yet!"

The concerts begin about 7 p.m. and fireworks follow each concert. A food court is open during concerts and features a variety of foods. There is also a beer and wine garden for those 21 or older. A valid ID is required to enter the beer and wine garden.
In addition to the concerts, SummerFest 2021 will feature several family-friendly events. They are:
- Aug. 5: SummerFest Car Show hosted by the Time Capsule Cruisers
- Aug. 6: Drive-In Movie featuring Back to the Future
- Aug. 13: Drive-In Movie featuring Abominable
- Aug. 20: Drive-In Movie featuring The Avengers

The car show begins at 6 p.m. and the food court will be open. The drive-in movies begin at dusk.
Anyone planning to attend the SummerFest concerts is urged to take the shuttle bus service, which will operate again this summer, because parking is limited at Windward Beach.
"We expect this year’s SummerFest to be one of — if not the — best attended yet," Ducey said. "Everyone is ready to get out of the house and have fun and we expect large crowds."
There are four sites to get the shuttles — Brick Township High School, Drum Point Elementary School, Veterans Memorial Middle School and Brick Memorial High School — and they take passengers to Windward Beach from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Return trips from Windward Beach begin at 9 p.m. and continue until everyone has been returned to their pick-up locations.
Shuttle bus patrons will be required to comply with state requirements in place at the time of the concerts regarding masks and social distancing.
